My favorite project of 2021

What a year 2021 has been. I get sentimental at the years end, looking back on all that has happened in my life. This year was full of personal growth and business growth not to mention out of state wedding planning and my wedding! If any of you are like me, it's so easy to get my thoughts all caught up in future goals which can make me feel like I'm always striving. Like I'm in a constant state of trying to attain to the next thing. But how desperately do we all need to stop and look back at how far we've come!

When I reflect on this year I'm quite surprised at all the new and uncomfortable things I've tackled and taken on despite personal fears. It's been a perfectly imperfect year and I can genuinely say that I showed up for life every. single. damn. day. And even though the growth is slow, it pays off in the end. So to all of my friends out there that have done the same despite the struggles we've each faced personally, I dedicate this blog to you!

This home pictured below was the first big project that I worked on in my first year of business. This family and their home mean so much to me. They gave me creative freedom to really put my heart into their home and show how beautiful a space can look when it's not only furnished, but also finished with décor and window treatments. It has all the things! And they were a joy to work with, staying extremely patient through the slow moving furniture delivery process due to the pandemic. Many thanks to this wonderful family, you know who you are!

I put a very satisfying assortment of before and after pictures together for you below. As you can see some simple paint went a long way in their home. The family room and kitchen are the original cabinets with a new coat of paint and it made all the difference in the world. So let the before and after's commence!

So there you have it! A beautiful home doesn't happen overnight. It takes a lot of deliberate thought and time to layer in all the factors that create the final product. As we approach the new year of 2022, Let's all look back at how far we've come and be grateful for the journey that brought us to where we are no matter how bumpy it was.

Love to you all and warmest wishes to you and your families!

Katrina
